choice to simply rent our kayaks
and create your own kayaking
adventure!
The Verde River is a jewel
in the desert and is the only
federally designated "Wild and
Scenic" river of Arizona. This
majestic River runs 200 miles
along three national forests and
offers unlimited possibilities
for kayakers and sightseers.
Carving a spectacular canyon
painted by nature in multiple
hues of gold, reds and browns,
it drops at an average rate of
20 feet per mile. The lush
foliage along its banks includes
Cottonwoods, Sycamores and
cattails, with bright yellow
flowers hugging the banks. Often
spotted wildlife includes great
blue heron, otters, deer and an
incredible variety of bird life,
which include Golden and Bald
Eagles.
The well-channeled Verde
River allows us to operate
inflatable kayak trips all year
round. The Verde River offers
lots of fun, with its twisting
waterways full of chutes and
drops interspersed with calm
floating pools. Come and
experience the unparalleled
beauty for yourself.
What are inflatable kayaks? The
inflatable kayak is designed with
high performance AIR cell
technology. You sit suspended above
the water line on an inflated floor.
Inflatable kayaks are also called "duckies"
and you can take them just about
anywhere; they deflate to the size
of a large suitcase and can easily
fit in a truck or your car. Duckies
are light, easy to navigate and
unbelievably stable so no experience
is necessary.

Verde River "Float" Trip
Kayaking the Verde
River, under the
instruction of your
guide is a rewarding way
to experience this
beautiful Arizona
wilderness waterway. Our
knowledgeable guides
will lead you down the
river, pointing out
historical landmarks as
well as sharing legends
of the Native American
cultures, Spanish
Conquistadors, and the
Pioneer Cowboys.
From our Boathouse
in West Sedona we will
travel to Clear Creek
Landing where your guide
will give kayaking
instruction and will
help you get into your
kayak. The Verde River
Kayak "Float" Trip will
be approximately three
to four hours or about
five miles from put-in
to take-out. About half
way through the trip,
your guide will dock all
the kayaks at a
historical marker where
you will enjoy a picnic
lunch. From here, your
tour will continue down
the twisting waterways
and small drops with
slow-current pools to
float down, offering
great photo
opportunities or
fun-filled water cannon
fights. Your kayak trip
on the Verde River will
end at Beasley Flats
where we will shuttle
you back to the
Boathouse. From start to
finish, this tour is
approximately 6 hours.

This tasteful and
adventurous guided tour
begins with a one hour
float trip down the
beautiful Verde River.
On this float trip you
will enjoy the abundant

River's lush banks. The
Verde River offers small
chutes and drops making
your kayaking experience

Tuscan-style farmhouse
of Alcantara Vineyard,
located on the banks of
the Verde River.

Non-Guided Trips:
Kayak Rentals
Non-shuttled rentals are
for those who have two
vehicles in their party
and wish to be
completely independent
on their journey.
We will provide you
with the appropriate
gear for your journey;
which will include life
jacket, helmet, spare
paddle, pump, day bag
and water cannon.
You will also be
provided with maps that
explain where to drop
off the vehicles and
where to launch and land
the boats. We have
single kayaks for adults
or tandems for children
5-12 yrs riding with
parent.
After your float trip down the
beautiful Verde River, you will
deflate the boats, load them in your
vehicle and return the kayaks and
all the gear back to our Boathouse
in West Sedona. Our rental
hours are from 8am to 5pm, 7days a
week (hours change seasonally, so
please confirm at the boathouse).
The shuttle runs as early as
8:30am and as late as 12 noon.
Directions and maps will be provided
by the Boathouse.

Kayak Rental with Shuttle Service
Your day begins at our Boathouse in
West Sedona. We have single kayaks
for adults or tandems for children
5-12 yrs who are required to ride
with an adult. After being fitted
with the appropriate gear, you will
follow our shuttle in your vehicle
out of Sedona and into the beautiful
Verde Valley. You will follow us in
your vehicle to the wild and scenic
Verde River in Camp Verde (about a 1
hour drive from Sedona).
Our first stop
will be Beasley Flats, the end-point
for your kayaking trip. You will
park your vehicle at here and then
we will drive you back up river to
Clear Creek put-in on Verde River(4
mile float trip) or White Bridge
put-in on Verde River (10 mile float
trip) to begin your kayak trip. We
will then leave you to enjoy the
river on your own for the day.
Your River Trip can be anywhere from
2 to 5 hours depending on river
conditions, and whether you stop for
a picnic or to swim. Your kayak trip
on the Verde River ends at Beasley
Flats where your vehicle is parked.
Upon completion of your journey, you
will deflate the kayaks, load them
in your vehicle and return the
kayaks and all the gear back to our
Boathouse in West Sedona.
Kayaks and gear must be returned by
close of business or next morning by
8am. Our rental hours are from 8am
to 5pm, 7days a week.
The shuttle runs as early as 8:30am.
Pick-up services at 4pm at the
lastest. Directions and maps will be
provided by the Boathouse. Hours
change seasonally, so please call to
make your reservations.
